A new app has been released by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) called National Train Enquiry System (NTES) which is now available for download on all smartphones and tablets running Android 2.3 and upwards. It is also available for i-OS & Windows devices.
The new mobile app for Android devices has many interesting features which includes checking on the current running status for trains along with time of arrival and departure. You will get exact location of the train on your fingertips. You can get full details about Cancelled, Diverted Trains. This app will help you very much while journey via Train. In this article I am explaining the features of this app.
1. Download National Train Enquiry System app from Google Play Store. Windows & I-OS Users download it from their stores. NTES have the following main features.
2. First feature of the NTES app is "Spot Your Train". By using this feature you can trace the exact location of any train from your mobile. When your dear once are traveling, there is no need to ask where the train reached. Just trace it with this app & get exact location. Enter Train Number, Select Station To Know Expected Arrival Time, Select Day. Then click on " Show Status". After loading you will get the details like this.
* You can trace the train even if you are not travelling on it. No need to turn on the GPS of your phone.
3. Second feature of the NTES app is " Live Station". You can get the live Timetable of the particular station for next 2 to 4 Hours. You can also filter the Timetable by adding "Going to Station". You will get the list of all Arrival & Departure trains for next 4 hours with their details of Expected Time Of Arrival, Delay, Departure Time etc.
4. Third feature of NTES app is " Train Schedule ". Here you will get the Train schedule from official Railway server. You just need to enter Train Name/Train Number to get schedule. To save the schedule for offline reading just click on "Save" icon on top right corner. Train schedule includes Train Running Days, Arrival, Departure Time, Distance in Kilometre, Halt On Particular Station. Journey Days etc.
5. Fourth feature of NTES app is "Train Between Stations". You are planning to go somewhere and don't know about the Train connectivity, this feature will help you. Enter station names & select train "Types All". You will list of all types trains between two stations you haave entered.
6. Last three features are about Rescheduled Trains, Diverted Trains, Cancelled Trains. Get list of trains Diverted, Rescheduled or Cancelled at one place.
